Choi Yuk-lin headed to Australia

Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin will begin her visit to Australia on March 3, the Education Bureau announced today.


She will visit Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, and attend the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education 2024 Conference & Exhibition in Perth.


At the Perth conference, Ms Choi will deliver a keynote speech to promote to overseas partners the advantages of Hong Kong as an international post-secondary education hub. Hong Kong’s eight University Grants Committee-funded universities will also jointly set up the Hong Kong Pavilion and hold various events.


During the trip, Ms Choi will call on local universities, meet education officials and experts and learn about the development of Australian tertiary institutions. She will also meet Hong Kong students and representatives of the business community in Australia.


Ms Choi will return to Hong Kong on March 9. During her absence, Under Secretary for Education Sze Chun-fai will be Acting Secretary.
