Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Algernon Yau will depart for Munich, Germany, tomorrow to attend the Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) - Europe Economic & Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference.
The conference is jointly organised by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, Invest Hong Kong and the Macao Trade & Investment Promotion Institute to promote huge business opportunities brought about by the GBA development.
During his stay in Munich, Mr Yau will also meet senior government officials of Germany and business leaders to give them an update on Hong Kong's latest development and business advantages.
Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong on September 8. During his absence, Under Secretary Bernard Chan will be Acting Secretary.
