Police’s National Security Department today arrested 10 people over suspected conspiracy to collude with the 612 Humanitarian Relief Fund to receive donations from abroad, either to support people who have fled overseas or bodies that call for sanctions against Hong Kong.
The four men and six women, aged between 26 and 43, were arrested for suspected conspiracy to collusion with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security, contravening Article 29 of the National Security Law, and of inciting people to riot.
Having obtained court warrants, Police conducted searches at the residences and offices of those arrested, seizing documents and electronic communication devices. The operation is ongoing and further arrests have not been ruled out.
