QR code verification app updated

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department said it has updated the QR Code Verification Scanner mobile app to enable users to read the updated QR codes for the third dose of COVID-19 vaccination records.   The department urged premises operators to update the mobile app as soon as possible.   Pursuant to the current specification and directions under the Prevention & Control of Disease (Requirements & Directions) (Business & Premises) Regulation, premises operators must use the QR Code Verification Scanner mobile app provided by the Government to scan customers' QR codes of their COVID-19 vaccination records for checking whether they have complied with the requirement about vaccination.   If a customer chooses to bring along his or her record of having received the third dose of a vaccine, the updated mobile app will be able to read it, facilitating the premises operator to fulfil the relevant directions and the customer to gain admission to the premises.
