SZ Bay service hours to extend

The operating hours of passenger clearance services at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point will be adjusted to 10am to 10pm daily from April 29, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today.   Currently, the operating hours of passenger clearance services at the control point is 10am to 8pm daily.   It said the move to extend the service hours was made having regard to the latest epidemic development in the Mainland and the Hong Kong SAR, and to tie in with the extension of the Return2hk Scheme from April 29.   The Hong Kong SAR Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government have agreed to extend the operating hours of passenger clearance services to enable cross-boundary travellers with genuine needs to travel without posing an additional health risk to the two places.   It is also a step towards the resumption of cross-boundary people flow between the two places in a gradual and orderly manner.   Since January 30 last year, the Hong Kong SAR Government has suspended passenger clearance services at 12 land-based and sea-based control points by phases.   Only the Shenzhen Bay Control Point and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port are still providing passenger clearance services at present.
